Liturgy

The Church encourages all the faithful to participate fully in the liturgy and to renew their relationship with God. Returning to the liturgy is seen as a return to the heart of the Church, where the Eucharist is the "source and summit of the Christian life" (CCC 1324).

We welcome and encourage you to come to Mass, even if it has been a while. God ever invites us into a relationship with Himself, though it isn't on our own terms.  Reception of the Holy Eucharist is for those who are properly prepared. 

1 Corinthians 11:27-29
"Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself."

"Anyone conscious of a grave sin must receive the sacrament of Reconciliation before coming to Communion." (CCC 1385)

"According to the Church’s command, ‘after having attained the age of discretion, each of the faithful is bound by an obligation faithfully to confess serious sins at least once a year.' Anyone who is aware of having committed a mortal sin must not receive Holy Communion, even if he experiences deep contrition, without having first received sacramental absolution..." (CCC 1457)
